The personal website of an SEO Consultant.
Thanks for stopping by! My name's Adam and this is my dashboard for anything related to SEO, website design, and web development. My specialty is search engine optimization, more commonly referred to as, "SEO," which is the practice of acquiring targeted keyword placement (or, "rankings") within the non-paid search results (or, "natural listings") on search engines like Google, Yahoo!, and Live. Sounds fun, huh? No? Well then, you should probably click here.

AMNET is not an SEO consultancy but a dashboard of resources related to search engine optimization, website design, and web development. Although Adam Moro is, by profession, an SEO Consultant and maintains this website much as the owner of an SEO consulting company would, the purpose of this website is not to make money. Instead, this website is here to freely demonstrate and educate on the practice of search engine optimization. Still here?
Best SEO Advice I Can Give for Newcomers to the Field of SEO
The best advice I can give to any SEO newcomer is to ALWAYS consider what you read on any SEO-oriented website (including this one!) as guilty until proven innocent. You are your best resource for SEO facts. The answers are almost always right in front of you and if they aren't, you can always replicate a scenario to get an insider's view of what's going on. This is called testing. A simple concept really but an invaluable one to any serious SEO. I've written about this in minimal detail and one day will likely do a case study on SEO testing but for the now, take my word for it..testing is your best friend. Just so I feel like I've left you with something, what I use to track the results of my testing activities is a paid software application called, Web CEO. They have a free version but it's far too limited for sufficient tracking. Free alternatives to WebCEO exist but I like it and it's not tooooo pricy so it works for me. More SEO software applications I recommend can be found on the SEO Software page.
Is SEO Really Just a Bunch of BS?
So what is SEO really about and is it all just a bunch of BS? It depends on who you're asking. Some SEOs consider SEO to be easy and may even have convinced themselves that it's too easy to be considered a real business model. Some SEOs have no idea what they're doing and think SEO is by far the most difficult profession in existence. All confusion aside, the experienced SEO understands that the difficulty factor is multi-faceted. Each keyword presents its own challenge and therefore, the assessment is contingent on that particular SEO's available resources, time constraints, and expectations (client or otherwise). As SEOs become experienced, they realize that SEO is certainly not BS and that with all the potential this industry has, the only BS that exists is the advice coming from frustrated failures and the people they cheated. Perfect example is on-page optimization. You'll hear many hats say it's important while some say it's moot. Here's the extent to which you should be concerned about on-page SEO: make sure your page loads correctly with relevant and crawlable text. Everything else is about this guy:
and protecting your ass. If you think any of those tasks are easy, you already know that SEO is not BS. If not, give on-page optimization, the easiest task for an SEO, a try and you'll have your answer. Still here? Really?
