Offered $8K for a domain

I parked some domains at Sedo recently and within just a few days a guy emailed me wanting to buy one at the “$5,000 to $6,000″ range. I told him I wanted $8,000 to which he eagerly responded yes. I was skeptic from the start but this made me almost write the whole thing off. Why would someone want to pay that much for a four letter .biz with no traffic, website or search equity of any kind? No affiliate links and no personal info was exchanged. I haven’t spent a dime…wait. That’s not true. I bought two four-letter .biz domains shortly after the second email.
