Really quickly, here’s how to install Ubuntu inside of Windows without Wubi….
1. Install: http://www.vmware.com/products/player/
2. Download: http://releases.ubuntu.com/ (confused about which one to get? get this one)
3. Copy/Burn the .iso file/image you just downloaded from Ubuntu to a CD (need help with this? Go here and look at the instructions for windows users)
4. Create a .vmx file to open with VMware Player here: http://www.easyvmx.com/supersimple.shtml (steps should be self-explanatory)
5. Pop in the CD you just burned (if it’s not still in your drive), open the .vmx file with VMware and follow the steps.
