Can pages rank for keywords contained in images?

To test this I've simply created this page which has only the one image with black on white text.

As of 11-5-2007, there are only a couple results on Google for the word above. It is not contained in the ALT text nor is the file named accordingly. I used the Arial font at size 48 pt. Let's see if Google or the others pick it up.
